Delaware College Scholars Program

The Academy would like to congratulate 11th Grade Cadets, Keith L. Harmon and RahjaeBreanna King for being accepted into the Delaware College Scholars Program this summer. For 3 weeks, Cadets King and Harmon will attend a tuition-free, residential, college preparatory program held at St. Andrew’s School located in Middletown, Delaware. As rising juniors, they will begin an intense reading, writing and discussion-based curriculum, as well as focused SAT preparation. Cadets Harmon and King will be immersed in a college-like residential atmosphere and will learn about and visit different colleges and receive college mentorship.

Former DAPSS Graduate Completes Air Force Boot Camp

2017 DAPSS graduate, Shawn Pedicone is currently serving with the United States Air Force and recently graduated from boot camp. During Basic Expeditionary Airman Skills Training otherwise known as "BEAST Week", Shawn earned the status of Expert Marksman and was awarded a ribbon for his excellent skills. Shawn is now stationed at the New River Marine Base in North Carolina where he is attending his second tech school. We would like to congratulate Shawn on his accomplishments as well as recognize and thank him for his dedication and service to our country

Public Safety IV / EMT Graduation

On Thursday, May 17th 2018 students from Mr. Crumpton’s Public Safety IV Advanced Class culminated their EMT training with a graduation ceremony at Belvedere Fire Company. Eleven seniors were recognized for completing Mr. Crumpton’s EMT Course and commended for their accomplishments. The students completed over 200 classroom hours of rigorous, academic study along with the practical skills assessment and the State of Delaware EMT protocols. The students are now preparing for their National Registry EMT Examination to be taken in the near future. Congratulations to seniors Roberta Johnson, Destiny Fisher, Nalasia Townes, Taylor Tatman, Mitchell Palmer, Andrew Bullock, Ryan Hubschmidt, Brian Pollack, William Lee, Tyler Crabill and Gina Dych. The Academy is extremely proud of your accomplishments and wishes you success in all your future endeavors. The Academy would also like to thank Mr. Crumpton and Ms. Duckett for their hard work and dedication to their students.
