DAPSS Mourns Loss of a Cadet

To The Parents and Guardians of Academy Cadets:

The entire Delaware Academy of Public Safety and Security staff and cadet body experienced a monumental loss on Tuesday, October 17th 2017. We were all saddened to learn of the death of one of our own, a 9th Grade Cadet, who tragically lost his life during an incident that occurred in the City of Wilmington that afternoon. Our plan is to pull together to provide each other with support, guidance and an opportunity to grieve. At this moment of loss, we need to be here for each other and ask that everyone be considerate and supportive of one another as this tragedy has affected everyone. Grief counselors are being provided during Academy hours for cadets and staff members alike, providing emotional support. The Academy requests that our entire body keep the cadet, his family, his loved ones and his friends in their thoughts.
